Fake Name

I've decided I need a fake name to give out at work. Today this super awkward kid came in to turn in some papers. I was creeped out from the beginning, and I certainly didn't appreciate how far he was leaning over the counter. He then looks at me (all ceepy like) and asks me my name. Why do I suck at lying? I guess it's probably a good thing overall, but I wish I had thought of a fake name to give the kid. Apparently everyone thinks my name is Emily, maybe I'll give that out sometime, hahaha :)

Sometimes I make videos

I'm slightly obsessed with my camera. I literally have thousands and thousands of pictures and videos. I've gone through three cameras in five years because I wear them out. One of my favorite ways to use the video footage I take is by making collage videos. I'm pretty sure I got the idea from the collage videos Taylor Swift used to post on Youtube :)

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:

• There are four stalls in our bathroom at work. I go inside and there is someone in each end stall having a loud conversation. I'm then caught in the middle of them and their conversation while trying to use the restroom. Uber awkward.
• Tripping over a cement block right after getting out of the car at Second Dam and nearly landing on my face. Grace should be my middle name.
• Trying so hard not to laugh as I watch a guy walk halfway into the women's restroom because he's texting. I pretended not to see when he realized his mistake and quickly walked to the men's. Mainly I pretended not to see so his pride wouldn't be hurt, hahaha.
• Allergies. How I hate them! I've never experienced them before this year, and I must say they suck. I'm currently attempting to not sound like I'm plugging my nose.
• Almost forgetting to close my blinds before I changed. Yeah, that would've been bad . . .

Awesome!

• My new bracelet from Summerfest

• I locked my keys in my room, but I was able to card into it in 2 seconds. This also concerns me.
• The epic prank we execute on Sunday - Mitch's apartment was turned into a beach!
• Winning three rounds of Texas Hold 'Em without knowing what I'm doing. Look at all my chips! No worries, it's not real money :D

• My sunburn in now a tan! You should see my awesome farmer's tan line :)
• Having Elise favorite one of my Dear Boys posts! Totally made my whole week :)

Day at the Beach

Saturday I went to Bear Lake with Stephanie, Elina, Anthony, Stacy, Cody, Heidi, Megan, and Jon. It was tons of fun, and super relaxing. We laid on the beach, played in the water a little, and watched Steph, Cody and Heidi build a giant sand castle.

Bear Lake is gorgeous. When you get out of the canyon and first glimpse the lake it's the most amazing turquoise color.The North shore is shallow forever it seems like. You can wade out the length of a football field and still be able to touch. The sand is also amazingly smooth.

We got shakes at La Beau's on our way back, which is always fabulous. It was a pretty awesome Saturday. Since then I've been wearing sundresses and basketball shorts exclusively, due the the sunburn on the back of my legs. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson by now.

Ice Cream

I think I have a problem. Since Monday I've gotten ice cream five times. Five times in six days! This is a serious problem. It's also a little pricy.
Monday I went to Zeppe's with Mitch, his friend Riley, and Steph

Tuesday I went to Aggie Ice Cream with Mitch and Steph

Wednesday I went to Coldstone with Kaylee

Thursday I was good and didn't eat any :)

Friday I had a banana split at the Bluebird

This ice cream madness needs to stop! I may have to ban myself.

Dear Boys

Dear Recruit,
I suppose we are now at least casual acquaintances. We know each other's names and we wave at each other, but I still wish we were real friends. I have no idea how to make that happen. Who knows? Maybe you think I'm a creep, hahaha.

Bangles

My friend Mitch recently went to India for an Engineering conference. (He's ridiculously smart) He brought me back some pretty cool bangle bracelets. Apparently everyone wears them in India. Normally I wouldn't put gold and silver together, but with these it just works. They're super fun, but very loud. I guess that's where they get their name :)

Solar Eclipse

Once upon a time there was a solar eclipse. We didn't have a shadow box, welding mask, or the right type of telescope. We did learn that you can view it by looking through a CD, or 5 pairs of sunglasses :)

Right Now

I am so completely bored out of my mind. Here's how the past hour has gone:


Check Facebook. Check email. See if there are any new headlines on AOL. Check for new pins on pinterst. Put a few things in my room away. Flop on my bed. Gaze out the window. Watch a couple youtube videos. Check facebook again. Check email again. Wish my craft stuff wasn't all at home. Contemplate driving home - nope. Check KSL's headlines. Go to pintrest. Check facebook again. Wish today was over.Think about going for a run. Check the list of blogs I read for any new posts. Wish my parent's haden't cancelled Netflix. See if anyone's texted me - nope. Lay on my floor wishing for something to do. Wish Stacy wasn't gone for the weekend. Thing about studying for the GRE. Wish my friends wouldn't keep leaving me for missions and marriage and jobs. Check facebook again. Write this blog.


I really need more friends that I actually do things with.
