Dear Boys

Dear ALL Boys,
I don't need any more guy friends. Really, I have a plethora of them. So if you're not really interested in dating, I'm sorry. I'm kind of over just being friends with every guy I know.
Sincerely,
Sick and tired of the friend zone
PS I'm sorry I'm not better at flirting, I'm working on it.

Red Pants

At Kohl's a couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of red pants. Very red. And I'm completely in love with them. They're the most comfortable pair of pants I own, aside from sweats. And there's just something about wearing red pants that boosts your confidence level. It's amazing how different you feel and act when you feel confident in your outfit. And they actually match tons more things that I anticipated. It's like a quadrupedal win.

So this one time it was my Birthday

Yesterday was my 24th Birthday. Wow, 24 even looks old. Most people I meet think I'm 19 or 20 and then they get a little weirded out at my actual age. Oh well, I'm over it, hahaha.

Yesterday was pretty fantastic. I got a lovely voicemail of Mitch singing Happy Birthday at 6:15. I'm quite glad I was already awake. I had a 7:30 class where we got candy (which ended up being my breakfast, hahaha), and then I came to work to find my desk decorated with Sticky Notes and Hot Chocolate from Narnia, courtesy of Steph.

Mitch brought me the biggest cinnamon roll I've ever seen. Seriously, it was the size of my face and weighed like three pounds.

My phone was buzzing all day with texts and facebook notifications from all my wonderful family and friends. Seriously, there's nothing like getting 50 notifications on facebok to make you feel good about yourself.

Mckenna, Elina, and Steph took me to lunch at Mandarine Garden. I ate way too much food, and Mckenna gave me some super cute things for my kitchen. Those three are seriously some of my favorite people in the world. Love them to death!

One of my best friends Kaylee wrote this blog post about me for my birthday. It is the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful thing anyone has ever written! I seriously couldn't stop smiling after I wrote it. This is why we've been friends for half our lives. She's pretty much the coolest person ever, and it is one of the best birthday presents I've ever received.

When I got home from work I walked into find my apartment decorated for my Birthday. Stacy and Kendyl had blown up 88 balloons and hung a banner and star/streamer things. I seriously felt so loved and special that they took the time and thought to do it :) Best roommate and friend ever :)

I was really glad I made my bed that morning

I then went to dinner with my Mom, Steph and Megan. We ate at El Toro which was amazing as usual. You also get free dessert on your Birthday which is a definite plus.

After dinner we came back to my apartment for cake and ice cream with friends. We ate lots of cake and ice cream and played Pin the Tail on the Donkey because we're awesome like that. Kayla gave me a super cute nail polish bag and two new colors, Steph and Meggie gave me super cute shoes, Stacy gave me Dove chocolates and a gift card to Maruices (my favorite store!), and my mom gave me a scarf and an insert for my new bedspread.

Everyone looks great except Steph . . .

So much awkwardness . . .

 Yay! A good one!
 More awkwardness . . .
 Cat, Kendyl, Kayla and Stacy

This is the birthday card Cody got me. I'm actually really impressed he remembered it was my birthday. He also gave it to me two days in advance because he wasn't going to be home. It's definitely the humor of an 18 year old boy.

Overall it was a fantastic day. I felt incredibly loved. I have the best friends and family in the world.

Working on It

Found this on Pintrest today. Definitely something I need right now. Currently trying not to overanalyze certain things.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday

(Yet another post I wrote last week and never published . . .)

Awkward:

* People who don't look at you when you're helping them at the front counter. I promise I don't bite, and the whole avoiding looking at me is super awkward.

* Me and guys in general. Sometimes I tend to ramble on about things they really don't care about, especially if I think he's cute.

* Walking in heels. I'm just not good at it. I'm constantly afraid of falling over, hahaha.

* Trying really, really hard to open a door that is in fact dead bolted. Stacy was very entertained though.

* When you see someone you kind of know, but not super well, and trying to decide whether to say hi or pretend you didn't see them. The whole time this is going on in you hear they're having the same dilema.

* People's reaction to finding out I'm 23 instead of 19 or 20.

* Being the one only dressed up in a costume at a party. Luckily we were going to another party that you were supposed to wear costumes to.

Awesome:

* My new iPhone. Seriously it is so great. I highly reccommend it. Instagram is definitely one of my favorite apps.

* My frame wall in my room. Picture to come soon :)

* Getting to see Rachelle, Mckenna, Heidi, and Kaylee all in one weekend.

* Fall. I love layers, brisk mornings, leaves (the colors, smell and crunching them), boots, and everything pumpkin.

* Getting 118 out of 117 on my test without really studying :)

* The new video I'm currently making of Steph. It's going to be awesome and will definitely be posted on here once it's done.

Fall Break

(This was written a week ago - so it was correct time wise when I wrote it, hahah)
This past weekend I was able to catch up with a bunch of friends I don't get to see all the time. Thursday afternoon Rachelle drove up from West Valley to spend the weekend here in Logan. That night we went to the Pumpkin Walk with Stacy, Heidi, Steph, and Elina. It was the first time four of us roomies from the house last year had been together in a long time. We got hot chocolate at Narnia and then took awesome pictures at the pumpkin walk.

After we got home Stacy, Rachelle, Heidi and I stayed up until 1 am catching each other up on our lives. At one point we were all on my bed, which is a bit squishy for four of us :)

Friday morning I headed over to Brigham City with Steph and Meggie to spend some time with Mckenna and Kip. We carved pumpkins, decorated cupcakes, and talked of course. It was so fun to see Mckenna's cute little apartment and just spend time together.

Meggie carved this all by herself :)

After I got back from Brigham I went shopping with Rachelle and Stacy. I had $20 in Kohl's cash which is always a bonus. We then came home and made pizza, watched Runaway Bride, and painted our fingernails. There's nothing better than a good ol' girl's night :)

Saturday morning Steph and I took Kaylee to Village Inn for her Birthday. Stacy and Rachelle came as well and we all ate more than we should :) We talked and laughed and stayed a long time. We then went to a couple of stores to find Kaylee a temple bag, and then I headed home to get ready to go canoeing with a boy :) We went out to Cutler Reservoir and spend several hours canoeing. It was such good weather, and everything was gorgeous. We talked a ton and had a great time :) We then came back and talked in my living room for about an hour.

Later that night Stacy and I went over to Kaylee's house to see here one more time before she went down to the land of the Cougars. We had cake and drank our milk in fancy glasses because we're classy like that.

Yesterday was a great day. Church was really good as usual, and the boy mentioned above told me I looked beautiful. What guy actually says the word beautiful anymore? I was seriously impressed and flattered :) Stacy and I went to my house for dinner and filmed parts of our introduction video for ward prayer. We then came back to Logan and finished our video. Ward prayer went well and people laughed, so it was all worth it. After ward prayer we went to a apartment in our ward and had a jam session. People were play the guitar, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele. It was loud, hilarious, and tons of fun :) Overall my long weekend was fabulous. There's nothing better than hanging out with the best people in the world and having a great time.
